A convulsão global causada pela pandemia de COVID-19 colocou-nos perante desafios sem precedentes. À medida que o mundo transita para uma era pós-pandemia, a necessidade de as instituições artísticas reconectarem e reinventarem as suas relações com as comunidades locais nunca foi tão urgente. Depois de, em plena crise pandémica, em março de 2021, o teatromosca ter organizado as primeiras JORNADAS DE REFLEXÃO – Cultura(s) Alicerçada(s), em que, ao longo de três dias, um painel de reputados oradores convidados nacionais e internacionais discutiu “O Valor da(s) Cultura(s)”, “Espaços Culturais, Redes e Públicos” e o “Investimento(s) na Cultura e Condições Laborais”, pretende-se agora dinamizar uma nova conferência que, ao longo de um único dia, em setembro de 2024, reunirá artistas, gestores culturais, políticos, programadores, críticos e investigadores, para além de outros membros da comunidade, com o objetivo de explorar estratégias inovadoras que permitam que as estruturas artísticas (e os seus diferentes parceiros) redefinirem os seus papéis e a sua relevância no rescaldo da pandemia.
Como poderão as organizações culturais e artísticas refletir a diversidade dos locais em que estão radicadas e tornarem-se locais de encontro acolhedores e inclusivos para o maior número possível de públicos?
A conferência destina-se a gestores culturais, artistas, educadores, animadores e dinamizadores comunitários e outros interessados no que podemos entender como o poder transformador das artes no desenvolvimento comunitário. Realizar-se-á durante o período do festival MUSCARIUM#10, procurando ainda estabelecer pontes e laços entre os vários artistas que estarão em residência artística e que aí apresentarão os seus trabalhos.
No horário da manhã, realizar-se-ão as conversas, onde serão partilhadas reflexões e visões para o futuro das artes performativas. Durante o almoço, procurar-se-á promover conexões, trocas de ideias e possíveis colaborações entre os diversos participantes e da parte da tarde serão apresentados casos de diversas organizações artísticas, nacionais e internacionais, apresentadas e discutidas experiências e estratégias que possam estimular o pensamento colaborativo. Este dia deverá servir como catalisador para ações tangíveis, capacitando organizações artísticas, artistas e outros agentes culturais (e de outras áreas) a adotar abordagens inovadoras, forjar conexões mais profundas com a(s) comunidade(s) e reposicionarem-se como centros vibrantes de vitalidade cultural e mudança social no cenário pós-pandémico.

Reconnect arts organizations in the post-pandemic world
The global upheaval caused by the COVID-19 pandemic has presented us with unprecedented challenges. As the world transitions into a post-pandemic era, the need for artistic institutions to reconnect and reinvent their relationships with local communities has been utterly urgent. During the pandemic crisis, in March 2021,teatromosca organized the first JORNADAS DE REFLEXÃO - Cultura(s) Alicerçada(s) / ONLINE TALKS - CULTURE(S) GROUNDWORKS, where, over the course of three days, a panel of renowned national and international guest speakers discussed “The Value of Culture(s)”, “Cultural Spaces, Networks and Audiences” and “Investment(s) in Culture and Working Conditions”.
The aim is now to organize a new conference which, over the course of a single day in September 2024, will bring together artists, cultural managers, politicians, programmers, critics, and researchers, as well as other members of the community, with the aim of exploring innovative strategies that will allow artistic organizations (and their different partners) to redefine their roles and relevance in the aftermath of the pandemic. How can cultural and artistic organizations mirror the diversity of the places in which they are based and become welcoming and inclusive meeting places for as many audience members as possible?
The conference is aimed at cultural managers, artists, educators, community managers and other people interested in what we can perceive as the transformative power of the arts in community development. It will be held during the period of the MUSCARIUM#10 festival and will also seek to establish bridges and links between the various artists who will be in residence and who will be presenting their work there.
In the morning there will be talks, where reflections and visions for the future of the performing arts will be shared. During lunch, the aim will be to promote connections, exchanges of ideas and possible collaborations between the various participants. In the afternoon, cases will be presented from various national and international artistic organizations and projects, where experiences and strategies that can stimulate collaborative thinking will be presented and discussed. It should serve as a catalyst for tangible action, enabling arts organizations, artists and other cultural (and other) agents to adopt innovative approaches, forge deeper connections with the community(ies) and reposition themselves as vibrant centers of cultural vitality and social change in the post-pandemic landscape.
