Desde 1988 persegue fenómenos atmosféricos adversos. Passou pela chuva do País de Gales, pela ventania da Cidade Universitária em Lisboa, o nevoeiro em Copenhaga e a neve de Montréal. Encontrou em Sintra, e junto do teatromosca, a tempestade perfeita.

Since 1988, she has been following adverse atmospheric phenomena. Maria has experienced the rain in Wales, the winds at the University City in Lisbon, the fog in Copenhagen and the snow in Montreal. She found the perfect storm in Sintra, near teatromosca.
O Alves anda por aí a meter água desde 1979. Guisado, em salada, à lagareiro, braseado ou em forma de ceviche, é um molusco com origem nas maravilhosas águas geladas de Sintra e que se formou nas ondas da Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa e que se tem mantido agarrado aos rochedos de Agualva-Cacém desde a fundação do teatromosca. Adora estender os seus braços (e pés!) para cada arte e enlaçar amigos e família em abraços que até estalam.

Alves has been around since 1979. Stewed, in salads, 'à lagareiro', braised or in the form of ceviche, he's a mollusc that comes from the wonderful icy waters of Sintra and was formed in the waves of the Faculty of Arts of the University of Lisbon and that has remained attached to the rocks of Agualva-Cacém since the foundation of teatromosca. Desde 1993 a viver uma vida pautada pela imaginação e criatividade. Da paixão pela literatura às artes performativas, foi pela área da produção cultural que se deixou enfeitiçar. De uma margem do rio para a outra, o destino levou-a a Sintra, vila de castelos e palácios, mas foi na zona urbana de Agualva-Cacém que encontrou o seu conto de fadas.

Since 1993, she has lived a life guided by imagination and creativity. From her passion for literature to the performing arts, she was captivated by the area of cultural production. From one bank of the river to the other, destiny took her to Sintra, a town of castles and palaces, but it was in the urban area of Agualva-Cacém that she found her fairy tale.

Desde adolescente que ambicionava ser arquiteto ou algo parecido que envolvesse o desenho, não esperando que o seu percurso académico o conduzisse à Cenografia. Míope por natureza, o observar é uma atividade que pratica no dia-a-dia, procurando "focar" o mundo que o rodeia e pensar sobre o que vê. Nos mais pequenos detalhes. Pois é neles que se encontra o diabo.

Desde 1990 que a vida é rock and roll. As artes são música para os seus ouvidos ou não tivesse já tocado em diversas disciplinas artísticas. Não sendo mulher de uma só canção, concilia a produção com a fotografia, mas sem dúvida, que é no teatromosca que prefere dar música.

Since 1990, life has been rock and roll for her. The arts are music to her ears or she would not have already touched on several artistic disciplines. Not being a one-hit wonder, she balances production with photography, but it’s clear that she prefers to spin her records at teatromosca.
Desde 1965 a estudar a tabela periódica para dominar a ciência por trás das artes performativas. Qual alquimista, juntou o som ao desenho de luz, numa mistura explosiva que deu origem ao diretor técnico que hoje conhecemos. Entre protões e eletrões, dá vida aos fotões que tiram estas moscas da escuridão.

Since 1965, he has been studying the periodic table to master the science behind the performing arts. Like an alchemist, he combined sound with light design, in an explosive mixture that gave rise to the technical director we know today. Between protons and electrons, he gives life to the photons that pull these flies ('mosca' is the Portuguese word) out of the darkness.

Cresceu no centro do furacão musical de um bairro africano, cheio de ritmo e verdade, não teve grande sucesso em fugir ao mundo das artes performativas. Canta, dança e teatraliza a vida com a mesma vontade que um miúdo corre da sua casa para a rua para brincar. Essa mesma vontade de miúdo fá-lo estar ligado a muitos outros miúdos que, tal como ele, nasceram e cresceram no centro de verdadeiros furacões. Cantando sobre as maravilhas das artes performativas, que são autênticas bóias de salvamento, Rafael afasta-os para longe dos seus furacões, aproximando-se dos seus corações.

He grew up in the center of the musical hurricane of an African neighborhood in Lisbon, full of rhythm and truth, and had little success in escaping the world of performing arts. He sings, dances and dramatizes life with the same desire as a kid running from his house to the street to play. This same childhood desire makes him connected to many other children who, like him, were born and raised in the center of real hurricanes. Nasceu na Ilha do Faial, o que explica a relação duradoura com o vento, o mar e a ideia fixa de atravessar coisas, incluindo o Atlântico. Formou-se no Chapitô, andou pelo Minho, Paris e Oslo, mas nunca perdeu o pé na terra nem o ouvido nas pessoas; gosta de misturar arte com vida real, criar pontes entre tradição e contemporaneidade e acredita que a arte serve para juntar gente, e, se possível, abanar o que está quieto.
